The third option nobody markets

Zermatt has a quieter ascent worth naming for completeness: the Sunnegga funicular and Rothorn line on the valley’s east side — cheaper, faster to reach, beloved of families for the Leisee swimming lake at Sunnegga, and carrying its own honest Matterhorn angle. It is not in this page’s title fight because its view, good as it is, ranks third of the three — but on a budget-tight or crowd-weary day it is the local’s suggestion, and it shares the pass discount logic with its famous siblings.
